how is heart failure diagnosed and whats a ejection fraction really mean!!!
My EF change thank u God is 55 to 60
I have seen so many questions lately about ejection fraction that I thought this video and the graphic I posted below might help us all understand ejection fraction better.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta from York Cardilolgy explains how ejection fraction is arrived at and the graphic in the first comment below is from Penn Medicine lists the percentages and what they mean. I hope everyone enjoys Dr. Gupta's explanation.

The question about some of the pills I didn’t take them for to long…
My Dr took me of Aspirin and cholesterol meds
I saw my cardiologist last week and he had me do an Echo. He called me yesterday and told me that the echo was good and was better than the last one (18 months ago). I checked my app and it said the LVEF was 45%. The echo from 18 months ago was 41 - 45%. What is the context of these numbers. What is a "good" score and what isn't? Thanks in advance.
Really that sounds encouraging thank you
Ejection Fraction normal I believe is 60

I just seem to be getting worse . Don’t know if this is it,or what to ask for or who to see. Frustrated and short off breath .

For me it was Slow K. Dr prescribed Lasixs and and spiractin only and not to take slow K and that seems to do the trick.
I was diagnosed with Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction plus Pulmonary Hypertension & Grade 11 Diastolic Dysfunction. My Ejection Fraction is 60% which is in the normal range. Anyone with similar diagnosis? Is this a real bad diagnosis? The water weight is gone so I am back to normal as far as my body feels. I have an appointment with a Cardiologist this Thursday.
This all happened in the last month and a half.
Oh, my NT-Pro BNP was 531/pg/ml. Normal is 125 or below. Thanks.
