how is heart failure diagnosed and whats a ejection fraction really mean!!!

Ejaction fraction is how much blood is pumped out of the heart with each beat. From what I've been told heart failure is when your ejaction fraction is below 40% I am in heart failure because my ef is 38%

Well thank you Debra. I look at it this way if we joined this site it because we have a condition, and it's a frightening and scary one, it affects us mentally and physically, and if someone is scared and worried then this is the place to unload that worry.
