not necessarily I was diagnosed with Acute Systolic Heart Failure. Not everyone has the congestion as long as it is treated with diuretics. Congestive heart failure is have so much extra fluid that it backs up into your lungs and makes it hard to breath or need high does of lasix or have to be on oxygen at home. I have cardiomyopathy , Left Ventricular Heart Failure, Leaky Mitral Valve . Reduced Ejection Fraction Rate of 20-25%

I dont know if any of the heart conditions can be improved or better yet reverse?

Unfortunately, nothing can be done to raise EF. I have dilated left ventricle that has enlarged to a significant size. It has progressively enlarged since my last ECHO. I work out a lot to try to keep the heart as fit as possible.

Transplant is the only option, but since I function well, to a degree, with my condition they said I'm not a candidate just yet. I'm checking out stem cell therapy by a leader in the field in Panama. Weighing the pros and cons. But there has been a lot of progress in that field.

Congestive heart failure is a bitch. If your ejection fraction is 10 or under you are screwd and your best bet is to put your affairs in order. Honestly, this team bullshit is the worst thing ever , this is only so that one doctor can no longer be held responsible for your treatment. I don't know what is going on but med school is obviously not the same. Doctors no longer take an oath, they're responsibility is to the hospital and the insurance company. The directors of hospitals no longer need a medical degree but they need to have a business or public administration degree. If you are at John Hopkins, or the Cleveland Clinic , Ucla, mayo clinic in Minnesota,Northwestern in Illinois, NYU. You have a chance if you're in Arizona, Kansas, New Mexico, I'm sorry . If you need heart transplant just know that you will have no quality of life before or after. Read about it before you opt for it. The amount of stress to get on the list is just not worth it and afterwards you will still be a total lame. If you're in your 20s you're good, do everything your doctor tells you and you may live to climb Mount everest one day. Personally, I'm out. I prefer quality over quantity. As long as I'm good with God, I will have peace, joy and no fear.
