I feel great most of the time but when problems arise, I sometimes feel like just giving up. I've had 7 attacks , 8 bypasses, 18 catheterizations with 4 stints and now a pacemaker/ defibrillator. I'm 60. This all started 20 yrs ago.
Is it my time?
Anyone else feel this way ,sometimes?
It normal to feel down sometimes but try and stay positive! I have been dealing with this heart stuff since 2001. All we can do is try and stay positive and take loving care of ourselves!
It’s hard to stay upbeat. That’s a lot going on for you, I get it. Pulmonary hypertension, AF, 12 cardio versions, 2 ablations, mitral valve replaced. Recently diagnosed with diastolic heart failure and pulmonary failure. It’s hard to stay positive at times, I just keep trying. And if your defibrillator goes off, it’s a big kick-ouch. Had heart problems since my early 30’s, I’d say just enjoy activities you can handle, seeing friends and family.
Wow that's a lot to have gone through. And understandably why you feel like you do. I also have a pacemaker/defibrillator. For me I take one set back at a time. When I feel like it's not worth the fight I think about my grandkids. You clearly are a strong person to have all these things done. Feel what your feeling at that moment then move on. Stay strong.
