Members shared meaningful ways they cope when feeling overwhelmed on their health journey, with many turning to physical activity like walking, biking, or going to the gym to clear their minds and rebuild strength. Several members described the power of leaning on a strong support system, whether friends, family, or this community, as well as taking intentional breaks to rest, evaluate their situation, and pray for guidance and peace. A recurring theme was the importance of faith, self-compassion, and remembering that managing health one step at a time with the support of others and a personal relationship with God provides the strength needed to keep moving forward.

I simply take a deep breath, and then ask God to help me to make it another
day with peace and freedom from the moments of anxiety that presents itself
with my heart disease. I have personally found that our God never fails
me. He also knows when I need him the most in daily life.

I've had those days quite a few times since experiencing the heart attack. What has gotten me through the tough days has been turning to a support system that would just let me lean on them whether it was to vent or share a new high that was reached. Having that small group in my corner was enough to always give me strength that I could manage my way through one step at a time as a support system would always be there but more importantly I had the strength inside of me to do anything. That is what kept me going and still keeps me going to this day.
