Does Afib Continue After Having An Ablation?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I have Afib and had an ablation in 2018. I had a heart attack also in 2017 and had a stent put in and a pacemaker. I am wondering what I should do for the continued episodes of Afib I still have. I called my heart doctor and he says there isn't much else that can be done. I am just curious if others have had this happen and have any advice for slowing these heart palpitations that happen at least once a day and can last for a couple of hours.

A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member

As mentioned above, blood thinners are to be taken, to avoid a clot/stroke.

When I had my ablation, I was told that it's not 100%, and many need to have a 2nd.

I am on flecaininde and metoprololā€¦ read more
