A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm 67, diagnosed with CHF 4-1/2 years ago. Have decided to call my cardiologist. Two years ago my stress test was ok and I was even able to stop my BP meds because my BP stayed normal. Just looking for input as I'm new to this group. Thank you 🙏

I was never told I had an arrhythmia, though I wouldn't be surprised if I do. Thank you all for your input and suggestions 🙂

Repeat Open Heart Valve Replacement Surgery
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had a redo sternotomy to replace a calcified mitral valve?
This is because they can't replace a mitral valve through a TAVR procedure in the USA yet. There are clinical trials ongoing, but they are very selective on picking the right candidates. Asking as Iam facing this situation (open heart again) and am told that it is high risk, ie. 80 % sucess rate average. Your comments please. Thank you.

They have research programs that are split between medicare and research team...if you qualify...had one....I do not think it's a walk in park....lost my memory totally for about 6 hours.very scary

How Do You Get Started, Organize, Prioritize, Encourage Yourself So That You Can Get Things Done AND Continue To Keep Up?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

A couple of issues my heart failure gives are daily degrees of fatigue and feeling overwhelmed with all the things I want do or need to do, like laundry, housework and yardwork. I'm interested in how YOU handle that or even don't handle it and feel ok about not doing things. Too many days pass and the little I've done irritates me. In my head I know what to do and what to say to myself, but sometimes that isn't enough. Hoping for some new ideas on getting to things and new ways of helping… read more
