Does Anyone Else With CHF Have Experience With A Sudden Drop In Energy For Over 4weeks?

Does Anyone Else With CHF Have Experience With A Sudden Drop In Energy For Over 4weeks?

I'm 67, diagnosed with CHF 4-1/2 years ago. Have decided to call my cardiologist. Two years ago my stress test was ok and I was even able to stop my BP meds because my BP stayed normal. Just looking for input as I'm new to this group. Thank you 🙏

I was never told I had an arrhythmia, though I wouldn't be surprised if I do. Thank you all for your input and suggestions 🙂

Low Heart Rate And Fatigue

Low Heart Rate And Fatigue

I have no diagnosis yet. Appointment scheduled end of month with cardiologist. The Internet says I'm dying and doctors don't seem concerned, so basically looking for advice and opinions of real people dealing with heart issues. My resting heart rate has been in the low 40s and I have what I would call occasional minor chest pain. Most annoying thing is I'm always tired. No shortness of breath. I have a smart watch, finger oximeter and an overnight sleep apnea tester. I've always had low blood… read more

Do You Find Yourself Feeling Vulnerable In Crowded Spaces, Or Find Yourself Trying Not To Be A Burden?

Do You Find Yourself Feeling Vulnerable In Crowded Spaces, Or Find Yourself Trying Not To Be A Burden?

I find myself suddenly wanting to rush home and get back to "safety" when I am at a doctor's waiting room, a public elevator...And then I realize that although everyone in my family are wonderful helping me, I try not to need help so I don't feel like I am imposing.

How Do You Get Started, Organize, Prioritize, Encourage Yourself So That You Can Get Things Done AND Continue To Keep Up?

How Do You Get Started, Organize, Prioritize, Encourage Yourself So That You Can Get Things Done AND Continue To Keep Up?

A couple of issues my heart failure gives are daily degrees of fatigue and feeling overwhelmed with all the things I want do or need to do, like laundry, housework and yardwork. I'm interested in how YOU handle that or even don't handle it and feel ok about not doing things. Too many days pass and the little I've done irritates me. In my head I know what to do and what to say to myself, but sometimes that isn't enough. Hoping for some new ideas on getting to things and new ways of helping… read more

Severity Of My CHF!

Severity Of My CHF!

As you know, I have decompensate diastolic congestive heart failure with Stage 3 CKD, Liver damage, CAD (2019 diagnosed), and type 2 insulin dependant (2016) diagnosed, sleep apnea (2006). My labs are 2 times worse now, and I have symptoms of CHF most days to a couple times a week. I'm so tired most times that running errands is a chore. Coughing and wheezing and chest heaviness and tightness happens quite often, even at night. Still a dry cough. Cannot sleep at night for quite awhile. Still not… read more

A-Fib, Heart Failure

A-Fib, Heart Failure

I have A-Fib and heart failure. The A-Fib doesn’t seem to bother me, but if I do things, I get out of breath, which my doctor says is my heart failure. Anyone else with this problem?

Coumadin Effects?

Coumadin Effects?

Just wondering if anyone has been on Coumadin and had experienced any side effects do to it? It seems coumadin is the only approved blood thinner for someone with a mechanical valve but I kind of wonder if it is causing some of the symptoms I had been experiencing ever since my last surgery. If you have any experiences with coumadin side effects, please let me know. Thanks! :)

Repeat Open Heart Valve Replacement Surgery

Repeat Open Heart Valve Replacement Surgery

Has anyone had a redo sternotomy to replace a calcified mitral valve?
This is because they can't replace a mitral valve through a TAVR procedure in the USA yet. There are clinical trials ongoing, but they are very selective on picking the right candidates. Asking as Iam facing this situation (open heart again) and am told that it is high risk, ie. 80 % sucess rate average. Your comments please. Thank you.
