Members shared overwhelmingly positive experiences with Jardiance and Farxiga for chronic kidney disease and heart failure, with most reporting no side effects and several noting gradual improvements in overall health, kidney function, and heart values. A few members mentioned increased urination as expected and manageable, while some women experienced treatable yeast infections that were addressed with antifungals or probiotics like Florajen. A recurring theme was trust in their doctors' guidance that protecting heart health takes priority, paired with practical self-care strategies like limiting sodium, staying hydrated, and monitoring for any urinary changes.

Thanks Goldengal- I hope you are doing well too. I asked a friend who also was prescribed Farxiga to help with her kidneys due to diabetes and she also had some problems with yeast infections. Her gyn put her on a low dose hormone and she seems to be doing better. You are right to ask your Dr. Hope this helps.

My husband and I both have congestive heart failure and stage 3 kidney failure. We were both placed on Jardiance in April 2022 and have had not had any side effects or adverse reactions. My husband had to be hospitalized in August of this year, and his kidney functions had dramatically improved with his blood values almost in normal ranges.

I have been taking Jardiance for several months now for CKD and CHF. I have noticed absolutely no side effects from it at all. I haven’t experienced any kind of dramatic change, good or bad, but I do believe that it has gradually improved my overall condition. I also limit my sodium to less than 2000 mg per day and try to drink plenty of water, though I admit the water is a struggle for me.
