My memory is not sharp at my age. I also take Aspirin, Metformin 500mg, Lansoprazole 30mg and Atorvastatin 20mg.
Are over-the-counter brain health supplements safe to take alongside CHF medications like Entresto and Carvedilol?
This is such an important question, and it's great that you're thinking carefully before adding anything new to your routine — especially with the medications you're already managing.
With CHF, the heart Show Full Answer
Hi Gwen,
I am on Carvedilol, Entresto, Farxiga, and Spironolactone (GDMT for heart failure) without such an issue. Am not familiar with the side effects of your other meds, but the statin might be worth looking into.
Also, just noticed in a following thread that in June your cardiologist drastically increased your dosage of Carvedilol. One of the major side effects of excess Carvedilol is brain fog. (You could be getting "a double whammy" from the statin and the excess Carvedilol.) - No, you are not imagining things!
You should definitely consult with a pharamacist, your cardiologist, and/or get second opinions to see if you can get the cognitive issues under control, and not just take it as an inevitable side effect of your drug regimen.
Praying for the best!

I haven’t tried any of them. I have a subscription to Consumerlab.com and they have nothing good to say about those products in a positive way. My neurologist has recommended some medication for my mild cognitive impairment but after researching them on worstpills.org and the side effects I am going to pass on using them. Wish you all the best
I have tried Prevagen, and Neuriva (I think that is the name of it). I found neither one helped me But the reason I started with them, they may not be designed to work on that.
Thanks Tony,❤️ I checked with my Cardiologist first for me. Good Advice.
