I find these smart watches amazing and shouldn't be ignored. My cardiologist isn't big on the watches ability but my watch said I was in Afib 85% of the time. His diagnosis was the same and ordered an cardio version. The doctor givng me the procedure said it was a complete success and he said he detected no Afib. My watch says afib was undetectable.
After being blown off for years, my Apple Watch picked up some Afib episodes. Still the cardiologist assured me it wasn’t Afib.. just PACs. Finally I was able to get an ECG when it was happening and finally got my diagnosis. If it wasn’t for the Apple Watch, I’d probably still be told “not Afib”.
I bought an Apple watch in 2019 after getting a diagnosis of AFIB. Wear it all the time now. I wear it sleep as well, and it lets me know how much sleep I get and the stages of sleep as well. It has so many features.
I have worn an Apple Watch for several years. As a senior, I like to know heart rate during exercise and at rest, EKG, dailey steps taken, sleep patterns, etc.
