I normally have a low pulse but what gets my attention is hearing my heart beat in my ear. It’s actually comforting.

Have had that happen and it sure gets my attention. Usually get up and check blood pressure and it’s usually normal but will show uneven heartbeat. It settles down after a while. I have intermittent a fib but the heart beat isn’t elevated so I go back to bed and try to ignore it!
