Tell your doctor they are not. He needs to try different ones until he finds one that's right for you

They end in LOL, like Metoprolol, Atenolol, Bisoprolol.
I didn't like Bisoprolol, and have been on METOPROLOL for years, 50mg ER (Extended Release).

Btw, in MY case, it has been to keep my heart rate down, due to PAF. It was twice that dosage, but now in sinus rhythm for 5 months, after an ablation, it may soon be stopped.

While in my case, it was used to keep heart rate down, its "usual" job is to lower BP.
(I have low BP, so I am monitored often on this med. That's why I was dropped down to 50mg.)

Thank you, going to do that, appointment is on August 9th. This is all so new to me, makes me nervous.
