@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member Wow, I admit, I had to do some reading after your post. I have found that Microvascular Coronary Disease is (Small Vessel Disease). I had no idea it could affect someone from birth. Your story is very unique and I am very glad you are here to share this with all of us. The more we know the more we can support one another. Hugs.🤗

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member, Wow, that was timely that I shared this today. There are so many vascular heart conditions and I feel like this is just scratching the surface. I sure hope the Norvasc will give you some relief from the pain. Hugs🤗

Thanks Caryn! I actually was just put on Norvasc for this problem on the Outside of my heart! I fortunately don’t have CAD…but I have minor heart pain because of this not as serious as Angina but sometimes the minor pain of capillary disease!

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member I totally agree with you. It is very necessary to do your research. I asked my cardiologist once if anyone asks him for drugs they see advertised he laughed. He said no one has ever done that they usually don't want to take any drugs. So, I am not sure how good the advertising is really doing when it comes to heart medication. I am looking for some good videos on Heart failure for next week's post. Hugs🤗

Hi CarynWebb,
I don't take Norvasc, it is a new drug and not one recommended by my cardiologists. Most new medication are still in the testing stage and aren't as fully approved as the pharmaceutical companies claim. I took Lopressorfrom the age of 27 to 55 and my having an AMI. The only reason my cardiologist didn't keep me on it was because it's lowest dose was to strong for my weaken heart and I was put on Coreg. These are the only two fully approved heart failure medication. How something is approved is what people should read and the other thing is what they have put in it. One of the meds they push for heart failure is a combination of two drugs that I'm highly allergic to. So combining them for me would only make my heart conditions worse.
This is the only country in the world that allows advertisements for prescription drugs. They give you a song and dance about what it will do but nothing is proven. They can't really test on heart patients so they play with your mind so that you will ask your doctor about it. You do it often enough your doctor will give it to you.
Be careful and research everything for yourself.
Robin
