This thought was running around in my head. Many of us come from dysfunctional pasts, hurt, drama, heartache, emotional stress, abused, and the list goes on. So, of course I had to look it up and read that heart conditions are often brought on by stressful situations and extreme emotions. It rarely causes death but can have several long term complications. Stated BHS may also cause 4 types of cardiomyopathy. I know I've had my share of broken heartedness but assume mine is a lot of previous diet… read more

I've had four heart surgeries: 3 ablations and 1 open heart to replace the mitral valve. I was a serious runner for 40+ years, ate right, did not smoke or drink, but I came from a very dysfunctional family with a lot of abuse. I've always had anxiety issues which I think might be part of the problem?

I'm a severe genetic case and have had emense cardiac procedures. I was in a super tragic car accident in high school and I swear that set me up for so much of what I've been through. Research broken heart syndrome for more answers

I feel strongly that this is actually the origin of my condition is BHS as you refer to it and have researched it myself. Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. Lifestyle and diet play major roles of course but genetics, personality and the resulting manner we respond and react to what happens in life can be major. My cardiologist practice doesn't seem to acknowledge the diagnosis. I have 3 Scripts, each Dr. wrote one and a Nurse Practitioner got her "mark" on me too. As I have learned to say NO much easier and often, I feel better and my vitals are great! The medical pharmacy complex will credit the drugs? The "drug" I've found that I credit the most is "FUCK-IT-ALL" and I use it whenever I feel like? I hope this helps? 😎
