Mine is my daughter. She helps me when I need it. She takes me to appointments and listens to Dr. so she can tell me later when I am not so nervous.

Members responded warmly to the question of who their best support is, with many highlighting spouses, children, and even grandchildren as their greatest sources of strength. Several members shared moving stories, including a husband who managed cancer, a widow-maker heart attack, and daily radiation treatments all in one year, and a daughter who attends both oncology and infusion appointments to catch anything that might be missed. A recurring theme was deep gratitude for loved ones who show up consistently, whether by attending doctor visits, managing household tasks, or simply offering calm and reassurance during frightening moments.

I have my husband as he understands this situation of a heart attack as he experienced a HA and is aware how important the steps are needed to maintain good health every day.

My husband is an amazing human being. He has been through cancer with me twice, once twelve years ago and now recently. He’s cared for me during and after a widow maker in June and got me to daily radiation treatments in July without ever making me feel like I was a burden. We had to cancel our vacation this year when I had severe sepsis after my heart attack, he would never say so but I owe this guy a lot! He’s cute too!

Hello, group!! It has been awhile for me to catch you up on things. I have been reading your responses, though.
My husband takes me to every Dr’s appointment. He goes in to listen or ask questions that he has. Our daughter takes me to my non Hodgkins Lymphoma infusions & sits with me thru all of it. The oncologist appointment is first. So she is there in case she has a question that I didn’t think of. They both are great support for me.
Since I was diagnosed with AFib & Heart Disease in June I have not had any red meat or fried foods & keep my sodium to 2,000 g a day. I allow 500g for breakfast, 500g for lunch & 1,000g for dinner. We eat as much fresh veggies as possible. When fresh isn’t available I use frozen & treat them like fresh.
Even though I have done all of that my B/P has been high. This morning it was 167/96 & yesterday morning it was 179/97. Just now it is 159/92. Should I go ahead and call the cardiologist?
I pray that each of you have a very blessed evening. 🙏🙏
