Interesting answer, my diastolic often goes down to 51 and below (today it was 45 ), my cardiologist is aware of it, has told me that I really need the medication that bring it down that low.

A blood pressure reading with a diastolic (bottom number) below 50, or a systolic (top number) below 50, is a medical emergency. Please call 911 or get to an emergency room immediately. This is not something to manage at home. Once in the hospital, medical teams can monitor and stabilize blood pressure using IV medications. These may include:

- Vasodilators β€” to help manage blood vessel function
- Calcium channel blockers β€” to help regulate heart and blood vessel activity
- Adrenergic blockers β€” to help control heart rate and pressure
- ACE inhibitors β€” to help relax and widen blood vessels

Please do not wait β€” low blood pressure at this level can reduce blood flow to vital organs very quickly. Call for emergency help right away.
