A MyHeartDiseaseTeam member shared: "I have heart disease and have a dry cough that I can't get rid of." Coughs related to CHF can be either wet or dry depending on the situation. Here's what to know about a CHF-related wet cough:

- The mucus coughed up can appear white or pink (pink may indicate traces of blood)
- It may look frothy or bubbly
- A dry, hacking cough can also occur, especially when lying down

Other symptoms that can accompany a CHF cough include:

- Shortness of breath
- Swelling in the legs, ankles, or feet
- Extreme fatigue
- Trouble sleeping flat

Seek immediate medical attention if the cough is accompanied by:

- Severe shortness of breath
- Foamy mucus
- Chest pain
- Fainting or extreme weakness
- Rapid or irregular heartbeat

It's really important to keep the cardiologist informed if the cough worsens or changes. Adjustments to medications or dosages may help manage it better.

What seems impossible for now, shows you are doing an amazing job, because you still here. With every road block, I have faced like you. I fight in everyway possible , to prolong my life, by eating healthy, educating myself regarding natural remedies to build my immune system, and making sure I am moving,/exercising. This has helped me tremendously. Also having faith to do the impossible, as we all do from day to day. You are not alone. I have Heart, Kidney and Lung disease. My ejection fraction was at 10% at one time. Now my heart is functioning in a normal range. Don't get discouraged, just keep doing your best and let God do the rest. Stay motivated, and enjoy life when you can. God Bless 💖🙏🏾

It is for me, I cough wet every time, and I cough throughout the day. I take medications to treat "COPD".
