I had one implanted five years ago. I just stayed in the hospital overnight and was sent home with my left arm in a sling so that I didn't use it unnecessarily or lift it over my head. I felt perfectly normal and a few days later hosted a Christmas dinner for family. Now I don't even know it's there. I just have to remember to tell TSA at airports that I have it so they send me through a separate screening device. Avoid strong magnets and don't use your phone on your left ear. Otherwise I'm practically normal. Good luck!! I'm sure you'll do just fine.

I had a CRT-D implanted in March 2025. The restrictions in recovery is annoying, but well worth it. Did not have any discomfort from the procedure. You will do fine. 😀

I had a ICD planted in May of 2020.vof course after it was all over with the Doctor told me to rest for a week. I did and I am very grateful though sometime next year they will be changing out the battery.
