That's an interesting article! While coffee's effect on gut health is a fascinating topic, what's most relevant for heart disease is how coffee affects the heart directly.

The good news is that moderate coffee consumption is generally considered safe for people with heart disease. Caffeine in reasonable amounts doesn't appear to raise the risk of heart rhythm problems for most people.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

- Moderation is key — sticking to a moderate daily intake is the general recommendation
- Talk to your doctor — the right amount of caffeine can vary depending on your specific heart condition and medications
- Watch the add-ins — cream, sugar, and flavored syrups can add saturated fat and sugar, which aren't great for heart health

Some research does suggest that high chronic caffeine consumption *may* heighten cardiovascular risk, so it's worth having a conversation with your care team about what's appropriate for you personally.

Great News, I do drink caffeinated coffee which was approved by my Cardiologist. He said I can drink 2 cups a day. I have it mostly every other day. In Moderation, moderation of course. Enjoy this Evening!

I get to drink caffeinated coffee now that I have had my AV node ablation, and I have noticed an improvement in my mood (and I talk way more than usual). You will have to ask hubby if that is an improvement. ;)

Good to know I mainly drink a lot of coffee in winter when I am at work outside in the cold but other than that I don't drink coffee. Thanx Cliff3
