I know from personal experience what low potassium can do. Mine got so low that it caused an afib event, according to the ER doc. Yesterday I had labs done for the nth time. This time my primary said we need to look outside the box. All these tests are coming back normal and you still do not feel well. This time she checked my B12, nobody else had, and my magnesium. They both came back extremely high! If B12 is high it could cause increased heart rate, could cause palpitations or burden kidneys. If magnesium is too high it could cause fatigue, shortness of breath, sadness, and anxiety. All of these are symptoms I have been having and blaming them on one thing and another. I know one thing, I’m stopping B12 and magnesium for a while and see what happens. This seems crazy but the numbers are there and they don’t lie. I’m doing this with the permission of my primary. This may not be an electrolyte problem but shows how just one thing can throw our whole system out of whack!
