She will remove my Loop Recorder and depending on the results of the Tilt Test, she may insert a Pacemaker. Any advice on what to expect and recovery?
I have had a Pacemaker/defibrillator implanted In March 2025. For me, the worst part of the recovery was not being able to lift my left arm, for six weeks. Was given a sling that immobilizes the arm to wear at night during that time. Even some of my doctors have said my coloring is better. I have noticed that I am a lot steadier on my feet now. During recovery it just takes some patience, and not to raise the arm that the doctor says not to raise. I wish you the best.

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member The tilt table test is no big deal and will tell them if you have positional tachycardia and if the dizziness is due to the change in position. As far as advice for the pacemaker, if you have it. Bob gave you some good tips. Also, make sure you have button-up shirts to wear since you can't lift your left arm above elbow level. After six weeks, you won't have any restrictions. It will hurt for a while, but after the first few days, Tyneol should take care of that. My doctor did not like to immobilize the arm the exception is at night. You need to keep it moving, just not above elbow height. Good luck, and keep us all posted on how things go. Hugs🤗
