@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member yes it has been described as that. Since it is genetic, there is not much you can do about it at this time. There are meds you can take and others in the pipeline. All you can do is stay as healthy as possible and take good care of yourself. You are right that is not reassuring, I hope that doctor went on to explain a bit more.

I appreciated the information in this video. I sent it to my sibblings and my two boys who are in their 30's. If possible I would like to see a video in the future explaining the LP(a) test/score and what that is. My cardiologist didn't do a very good job of making that clear. My score was 106 which is high. What does that mean for me at age 65 and a quadruple bypass patient of two years??
