How are your kidneys functioning? Is your A1C good; no diabetes? These are significant factors in leg swelling.

Think I’ll put my fears aside and take the Lasix. The extra fluid can’t be good for my heart

Hello. Swelling can be a side effect of medication. 😔. Leg elevation is a great suggestion. I stand a lot and leg elevation gives me quiet time. I still have not found my switch off button 😵

I’ve been told if swelling occurs again, take the Lasix for 5 days (along with Potassium Cl.). I have stage 3A CKD.

My case with swollen legs and feet it’s because I retain fluid even though I take water pills I am have to weigh myself every day and reported to cardiology I would suggest you talk to your cardiology team it could be from the mechanical valve I don’t know why that’s up to the cardiologist to figure out but sit with your legs up beat it helps a lot too every time I sit down. I have my recliner with my legs up good luck and have a great weekend.
