I dont know the answer, but I am wondering about this as well.

Yes after I lost my CDL (commerical driver license) I was a school bus driver I applied for SDDI because I had to have a ICD/Pacemaker your not allowed to keep that type of employment. With my type of heart disease I was granted SSDI

Chronic Heart Failure
Heart Transplant
Ischemic Heart Disease
Symptomatic Congenital Heart Disease
Recurrent Arrhythmias
Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
Aneurysm of Aorta or Major Branches
Chronic Venus Insufficiency (CVI)
