I Have A Chronic Cough. Some Days Are Worse Than Others.
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have AFib and diastolic heart failure. Sometimes it feels like I'm breathing through a blob of mucus in my throat. I have a really hard time coughing it up and spitting it out so I just keep on coughing and coughing. Can anyone help me figure out a good way to cough that crap out of my throat/lungs because I always start to breathe easier and feel better when I can. Thank you in advance everyone!!

Sometimes food, sometime a pill, one of 18 I take daily, or phlegm. Feels a lot better breathing when it's clear.🙂

I’m having the same sort of problem with my nostrils! I can blow and Blow and then after my three nose sprays I can’t blow but want to suck it up so I can swallow it and that doesn’t work either…this has been going on for 4.5 years! I have zero allergies none zero nada! Anybody have any suggestions? I’m game…I even bought an infant nose sucker thinking I could Suck it out but that was a TOTAL waste of money and energy! I’ve been to allergist ENT and then went to Emory University Hospital! They tried freezing my nostril nerve to keep it from dripping and then tried radio frequency ablation to kill the nerve that was making it drip 💧 but neither of those worked! At first it was a drip and a sniff….but now it feels like globs of snot that won’t come out and won’t go down! I am at the end of my rope with this shit….Suggestions?

It sure does! First thing in the morning and at night is usually the worst but I've been coughing all day long recently. I finally broke down and started all my meds. I started antibiotics, Prednisone and Mucinex. When I start coughing up dark yellowish/brown it's time foreds. If I'm not careful I'll winde up in the hospital with pneumonia. With what I went through last year the hospital is the absolute last place I want to be.
