Members discussed the reality of managing heart disease medications, with many agreeing that knowing potential side effects is important for staying safe, even when some doctors discourage looking them up. Several members shared personal experiences, including one who stopped a statin without guidance and needed a triple bypass, reinforcing the community's strong message to never change medications without doctor approval. A recurring theme was the power of trusting your medical team, staying active when possible, and leaning on faith and community support to get through the challenges of heart disease.

Tidonaldson I was in perfect health without the meds, but watch, I was jogging twice a week, doing exercises hard core 1-2 hours a day, and walking 30-40 miles a week. Swimming up to 5 hours a week in between. Doctor said whatever your doing keep it up no meds needed. Then I had to go back to work. My workouts dismissed. Time wise. So there's an easy way to health but depending on capabilities do what you can. Leave the rest to Jesus. Amen. Be happy my friends. Pray for my wife Barbara she has eye surgery tomorrow.

Lauro,I am glad you made it thru & not suffering from any long last new health issues, we can't stop taking our meds on our own without knowing the risk ,once our system has gotten use to the meds it has to have it ,like a drug addict ,we have to let the doctor wing us off certain drugs and it takes time to do that .got to be careful about the use of our meds and there important part of our lives .

Janine,I too have had the covid shots & had no problems & yes all medications have side effects some worse than others but that comes with getting well or being in less pain of whatever we are dealing with ,but never stop taking meds without talking to your Doctor, because you could make your situation worse .the goal us to keep it pumping and stay safe as we njoy life.

I’ve been battling depression/anxiety/chronic headaches/fatigue/ shortness of breath/chronic pain my entire adult life! Before I even knew I had a Cardiovascular Disease! I still treat my depression and anxiety as before but my headaches are not chronic anymore! The chronic fatigue is still there but is much better than it used to be! I think that a Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Disease has helped! I take Farxiga in the AM and Entresto in the AM and PM…I take 12.5 mg of Coreg AM and PM…My PCP just took me off Lasix and Potassium and Spiritolactone to try to get my Blood Pressure ⬆️ so I don’t get lightheaded when I sit up or stand up suddenly but that was only 4 days ago so we’ll wait and see what the Cardiologist has to say about those changes tomorrow! I’ve also stopped my Spiriva and Symbicort inhalers as I am very rarely out of breath anymore and when I need something I take a puff off of my rescue inhaler once or twice a week! I disagree with the statement that COVID vaccines make a person sicker! I’ve had a Vaccine and a Booster every year and not only did I not get sick I’ve NEVER HAD COVID!!! I keep getting the flu shot and the flu every winter! And I’m pissed off that RFK jr has ceased development of next years Flu Vaccine! I am scheduled for a New Measles vaccination week after next as I am in the age that only my deceased Mother knows if I had two doses of the MMR VACCINE when I started school! They really Should give you your shot records when you graduate from high school!
