I use sugar free life savers and sugar free jolly ranchers to help stop the coughing. And Delsym when that isn't enough.

Hi Marguerite,
You are the first one that mentioned the cough. My daughter checked it out on the computer and said there is a cardiac cough. I cough like crazy when I go to bed at night. So bad that I sometimes have to take cough syrup to stop it, so afraid it will start an A-fib event. I use cough drops too because I cough during the day too, but not as bad as night. My lungs are clear also. I never smoked in my life, and I guess they didn't believe me. When they listened to my lungs they say in amazement wow your lungs are so clear. LOL.I can't drink anything cold either because it makes me cough. Have a great day.

Last February I developed a chronic dry cough. I thought i had after effects of covid...though I never actually knew if i had covid or not. In May i had a widowmaker heart attack. I thought that i had no prior symptoms. Now I believe that the dry cough was a symptom. I still have the cough along with chest tightness. Big believer in cardiac cough.
