Last February I developed a chronic dry cough. I thought i had after effects of covid...though I never actually knew if i had covid or not. In May i had a widowmaker heart attack. I thought that i had no prior symptoms. Now I believe that the dry cough was a symptom. I still have the cough along with chest tightness. Big believer in cardiac cough.

Interesting I didn’t know about the Entresto connection…but I’m NOT going off that as it raised my EF from 15% to 30%! So I will start buying more Delsym !

I developed a dry cough after being put on Entresto (that is one of its side effects). In Jan. I will have been 2 years on that med and the cough has greatly reduced. For a while I needed a cough syrup at night and often cough drops during the day - maybe 5-8 times a month. However I credit Entresto with increasing my ejection fraction (EF) from 30-35% to 45-50% - so I deal with it!

I have had a problem with sinus drainage this winter. No cold or flu. I asked the pharmacist and he advised me to take Mucinex for sinus drainage and if I developed a cough Delsym.

I do get a cough of and on.but I have noticed it is worse when I have been out walking. I do not really have allergies so not sure but I think you can have a cough with heart disease.
