ICD
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have finally decided to go through with it because my doctor keeps telling me I need it and not having it is really starting to cause me a huge deal of anxiety. Anyone have any thoughts?

Tbh I think its a huge waste of money… and can cause even more anxiety half of the “life saving” shocks administered aren’t even life saving there what is called “inappropriate”… read more

With an ED of 30, and your doctor advises it, I would say, how soon. I’ll bet you will feel so much better.

CRTD Implant Surgery
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

My cardiologist would like me to get an ICD implant but I have been too scared and indecisive. Now it appears I am a candidate for a CRTD implant which in addition to the defibrilator will improve my heart function and I'll feel better. I'm planning to give him the go ahead Monday. I was wondering if anyone here who has had this surgery can tell me what your recovery was like and if you regret getting one? Thank you.

I had mine implanted in May of 2022 and feel much better! It only took a few days for me to feel well enough to go to the beach! Just kept a cold pack on it and took Ultram when I needed it!😍
