Has Anyone Else Needed Iron Supplementation While On Coumadin?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Just wondering. My ferritin (iron) level seems to keep going down since I have been on Coumadin. It goes back up after supplementation, but it then comes down again once I am off. At first, they said it was from the trauma of the surgery, but now that it keeps happening the only reason that I can think of would be the Coumadin. Has anyone else on coumadin ended up needing Iron supplementation?

Coumadin And Headaches?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I have yet another question for anyone with experience with coumadin. One thing that I had been noticing since my surgery is what I have always been describing to my Drs as lightheadedness. I've had great work ups even saw a neuro optometrist. Things check out good. I'm realizing that it is more of like a light pressure/ headache rather than light headedness and I'm wondering if that is just a side effect of the coumadin. I ask about the coumadin and the Drs are always just more interested in… read more

Coumadin Effects?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Just wondering if anyone has been on Coumadin and had experienced any side effects do to it? It seems coumadin is the only approved blood thinner for someone with a mechanical valve but I kind of wonder if it is causing some of the symptoms I had been experiencing ever since my last surgery. If you have any experiences with coumadin side effects, please let me know. Thanks! :)
