Just wondering. My ferritin (iron) level seems to keep going down since I have been on Coumadin. It goes back up after supplementation, but it then comes down again once I am off. At first, they said it was from the trauma of the surgery, but now that it keeps happening the only reason that I can think of would be the Coumadin. Has anyone else on coumadin ended up needing Iron supplementation?
I did, on and off while on Coumadin. Maybe you can switch to something else?

I ask about the coumadin and the Drs are always just more interested in⦠read more
My father did, try asking a good pharmacist. Hope this helps!
Just wondering if anyone has been on Coumadin and had experienced any side effects do to it? It seems coumadin is the only approved blood thinner for someone with a mechanical valve but I kind of wonder if it is causing some of the symptoms I had been experiencing ever since my last surgery. If you have any experiences with coumadin side effects, please let me know. Thanks! :)
