A shared Mayo Clinic podcast about why sleep worsens with age sparked a heartfelt conversation among members who are struggling with sleep alongside heart disease. Several members shared what they've tried, including melatonin (with mixed results), valerian root, chamomile tea with lemon and honey, hydroxyzine, and CBD, with many preferring natural options over medications due to concerns about side effects. A recurring theme was that sleep struggles are deeply personal and there is no one-size-fits-all solution, but the community found comfort in knowing they are not alone in the search for rest.

Interesting video. One thing I did pick up on is that ishemiac heart disease can cause sleep problems, but that statement was all the was said ( saying this with the understanding that they were trying to cover a general information about sleep). This video does give more information that I had.

God Bless You Friends in finding what works. It's never a one size fits all. Some of these products produce dreams , and nightmares, queasy stomachs, and that over drug feeling the next morning. Especially the antihistamines. CBD Helps as well.

I been having trouble sleeping for years now I have tried melatonin and it helped the first time tried it in the hospital they gave it to me to help me sleep and I bought some at home and tried it and it was fine but I only had a small does three milligram verse the six they gave me in the hospital I don't like to be medicated for sleep and I tried drinking Chamomile tea with lemon and honey It helps me mostly with my anxiety which is one reason my sleep is disturbed I find that it will help calm me down if I feel my heart starting to pace so it's pretty healthy and natural , I did read about too much melatonin can be harmful for a heart patient so that's another reason why I am no so certain about medications to put you to sleep but it's supposed to be a chemical found in our body .
