I definitely would chat with my doctor about the diet question. You can inquire about your stress test as well. Happy you are doing well. God Bless!

About the diet: those excellent blood work numbers are likely a result of the combination of your medications *and* your healthy habits working together. Going off the diet might be part of why things look good, but it's risky to assume the meds alone are doing all the heavy lifting. Sticking with heart-healthy eating helps keep those numbers where they are. Blood test numbers for heart disease patients typically track things like:

- Cholesterol levels β€” your atorvastatin helps keep these in check
- Potassium levels β€” important when taking losartan
- Blood pressure markers
- Inflammation indicators

These numbers together give your doctor a picture of how well your heart and related systems are being managed. Now, about those upcoming tests β€” they're actually really valuable tools!

Nuclear Stress Test β€” This goes beyond a standard ECG. It uses imaging to show how blood flows through your heart during activity and at rest. It can reveal areas of the heart that aren't getting enough blood, which other tests might miss.

Heart Monitor (2 weeks) β€” This is called an event monitor. Wearing it for two weeks gives doctors a much longer window to catch irregular heart rhythms that might only happen occasionally and could be missed in a shorter test.

Together, these tests can absolutely provide new information that echocardiograms and other tests couldn't capture β€” similar to how a previous test revealed you didn't need a stent. They're looking at different things in different ways. The best move right now is to go into tomorrow's stress test well-rested, and definitely chat with your doctor about the diet question. They can confirm whether your numbers are medication-driven or a combo of everything you're doing right. Either way β€” you're asking the right questions! 😊
