Ike most seniors I surely can't afford out of pocket cost. I am still working full time as SS is not enough. So sad 😢

Thank you Xavier2,well said politics play a big part in everything we need and do & health care is a very big issue and Trump is trying so hard to destroy it for all of us I surely can't afford my meds out of pocket it would cost several thousand of dollars a month plus doctor cost to be seen & the test they do when I go ,people need to wake up with what their President is trying to do to this Country and its not for the good of the people.

Because politics ARE are part of our condition(s). I'm also a member of the myhivteam. With the lastest executive orders on USAID and not funding them, not only does it affect people across the globe, but here in the USA as well. I'm really worried if I will have access to my HIV meds with these executive orders.
I'd have to pay $1,800 a month AFTER insurance covers my meds. My medicine before insurance is $7,000 a month. Could you afford $1,800 a month WITH insurance or $7,000 a month with NO insurance? Between my insurance and Ryan White fund, I pay $0 for my meds.
So in MY case, politics play everything into how agencies are paid and funded help people. Also, one of the medications I am now on for my HIV, comes from Canada, Do YOU want to pay even MORE in tariff taxes to get your medication?
You need to educate yourself on what all these executive orders are doing. Not what the president tells you and you just follow blindly. When the cost of medication cuts into your pocket, then you'll want to keep up on politics.

I also like to point out a second scenario of how politics play into our care.
The Trump administration tried 68 times in his first term to get rid of Obama care. I buy my insurance off the marketplace. I get better insurance, better deductibles on the marketplace.
You don't get Obamacare you say? You get employer sponsored insurance? Sorry to break the bad news to you, but even employer sponsored health plans have to follow the rules of Obamacare. Get rid of Obamacare, your employer insurance will skyrocket.
A third scenario I'd like to point out is, I applied for financial assistance through the University of Michigan, for my $500,000 heart surgery. What insurance will not cover, the college will cover the rest. With the latest executive order about DEI, if you don't comply, you wont get funded. Would you be able to pay for another heart surgery out of pocket with no financial assistance!? I know I couldn't!
You need to pull your head out of the sand and educate yourself and not just blindly believe what you're told. Because politics have everything to do with our care.
