What is an exercise snack? It is a method of breaking your day into small bursts of exercise to stay fit and combat sitting all day. Even if you can't walk, can't do housework, or walk stairs...you can do these exercises while sitting. So get ready and let's exercise together!

This program demonstrates how to exercise when you don't have a great amount of time or energy. Natalie Marshall, MD, also discusses how to overcome barriers to daily exercise.

Hi CarynWebb,
For me the simple daily living things I don't see as exercise but what is needed to live. I was my husband's and my mother's care giver as well as a full-time university professor. A little less then 3 months after my AMI/ STEMI widowmaker. A month after my event my cardiologists PA looked at me and canceled all my cardiologist order and released me to return to work in less then 30 day. I have always worked with a full plate. Making arrangements for my husband's final departure, I started having migraine headaches again and the same PA prescribed a high dose Ativan. At my 3 month follow up with my cardiologist he was yelling at me about my canceling my follow-up testing, rehab and the medication request for Ativan. I struck back and told him I didn't cancel any thing but that his PA looked at me and canceled everything. I called your office because my INS doctor told me to call his office because I hadn't been released back to her care and she couldn't prescribe anything.
He saw me at my 3month and fired his PA on the spot. She made her judgment on my appearance. I was placed in a rehab program that graduated me to their maintenance program. I can't go to a regular gym but with caring for my mom and working full time was so very hard. Life was a regular struggle so I've never really just rested. Lost my mom 2 years ago and now I do for me. I do my home care and cooking because if I don't it won't get done. The maintenance program is for life. It is rehab without the monitors. I haven't been in a month because I had two syncope episodes in December. They called me last week and I told them I was going to return tomorrow. No major damage but I needed to let the bruises and soreness go away.
Robin
