While all the recipes may not be to your liking, and the article focuses on gut health as well (we learned on Monday how the gut and the heart are tied together). I think there might be one or two worth considering. The advice they give on Foods to focus on is worth a look. Remember if you are on a low salt diet and most of us are leave out the salt or at least reduce it by 1/2 or more.

Eating right always helps . I tell my kids and grandkids salts and sugars care not your friends . Foods with fats dont help . There is enough salt I. Foods we buy at the store . I use very little Kosher salt if any . Veggies are good there are so much you can do . I know when I went to weight watchers the more colorful yoyr plate the better🩷

I think this is something my husband and I need to try. We already eat a lot of these things. We need to add more.

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member, I too take Eliquis and many of us here do. Just to clarify you DO NOT have to limit vitamin K with this drug and the newer anticoagulants. However, you should avoid grapefruit or grapefruit products because they interact. So go ahead and eat your spinach!

If you are looking for weight loss check out "Shibboleth." It's low glycemic and works great. I lost 47 pounds on it. Awesome for diabetics and great for us heart folks who need to shed excess pounds. Easy peasy!
