Great info. A lot of times when I do chores, exercise, getting up quickly from either a prone or sitting position or playing Golf I will get pain in the chest area that feels muscle related and usually goes away with rest or a heating pad. Nice to know it isn't angina, just an out of shape old guy.

Thanks for a very clear explanation. A very useful video to watch. I suffered from intercostal pain and initially thought it was my heart after a bypass a few years ago. I'm going in for corrective surgery soon.

And I have learned that oftentimes it is my Asthma that is causing the pain because as soon as I use my nebulizer or emergency inhaler it goes away…I am usually still rattled sometimes but I can relax a bit knowing that it is Not my heart but my lungs that are the problem!

All the sites like "Web-MD" can convince one that they suffer every possible ailment ever discovered. In defense of the medical profession and that's not my default position, CYA [cover your ass] is the primary motivation for everything done regarding healthcare. Hypochondria is a cruel mistress!
