So Those Who Have Medicare Ins And Those Who Have State Ins/medicaid..do You See A Difference On How Your Treated Medically?

I have medicaid/state ins and sometimes I feel I'm being pushed thru the system and only being taken seriously when I have a problem that is deeply present.

I'm far from being intimidated. If I didn't kinda blow a gasket to my drs a few yrs ago I would still not be walking. I couldn't walk for almost 6 months and getting the run around at the time, therapy, this dr that Dr, exray, mri etc. After a while of still no answers I had had enough and threatened to go to the board of medical examiners and anywhere else I could to ruffle some feathers. Within the next 30 day I had been scheduled for surgery. They thought it was just crushed or herniated disc's. In reality was two calcium deposits in my lumbar pressing against a few nerves in my thecal sac. If I didn't have it taken care of soon it could pierce it and cause me another whole list of problems and even including paralization. Been now going in 5 yrs since I had it. It's now starting all over again.

I’ve been on. Medicaid in Georgia for many years and not ONCE have I been or felt that I was being discriminated against or because of my state insurance! I was taking up to 30 prescriptions at one time and had both hips both knees and a shoulder replacement when I was on Medicaid! In addition to being diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure! I’m sorry if any of you have had problems but my Local Hospital System is nonprofit so I am sure that accounts for some of it! When I got an ICD Two years ago they gave me a document that if the Insurance didn’t pay for it that I would be responsible for the cost and quoted a price of (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) ! I never so much as got a bill! Now that I have a Medicare Advantage Plan in addition to the Medicaid I just have to be careful that providers accept Medicaid…otherwise I have to pay a copay…Words to the masses…
