A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

With Afib and trying to lower my cholesterol, and taking thinner, and bp meds wondering if since it helps to expand the blood flow, would this help in increasing chances of a blood clot moving or creating a blockage elsewhere?

Thanks. I kinda knew all that info. I'm currently on eliquis, metoprolol and what I was asking, Since nitric oxide expands the veins and arteries to allow better blood flow. Wouldn't that allow a higher chance of a clot breaking off the artery wall and moving thru your body and have increased chance of getting stuck elsewhere causing other problems besides stroke or heart attack. I have cardiologist Thursday and looking to discuss that being added is good for me or not. Just trying to lay out my risk factor
