I had an aortic valve replacement via TAVR August 23rd. In hospital for 2 days and I feel much better. My ejection fraction went from 40 to 55.

Not sure of the exact details of my sister in laws condition but I do know she had a aortic valve replacement and lived many years afterwards. She had it done in her 50's and died at 82 .

@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member What type of valve are they replacing? There are a lot of people on the site who have had replacements. Let us know what type you need to be replaced. Are you considering a biological valve or a mechanical one? I have posted lots of different videos that might help. Do a search under Q&A for the type of replacement you need and see if you can find others to help that way. Hugs🤗

Mary292, do not worry yourself. I know easier said than done. I have CHF also and had my Aortic valve replaced with a Bovine tissue valve in 2011 at age 52. Likely I will need a re-do before long. When the time comes I will do what ever they recommend. I want to live. :-) I will go to Cleveland Clinic again when it's time.
