Velma, Are you on blood thinners? If not then a stroke could be a possibility. I have too have flown many times but I do take blood thinners and I wear compression stockings. I would ask him what you can do so that you can travel by air. Air travel can cause the blood to pool in your legs (especially on longer flights) and that can cause a clot to form in the legs which can then travel to the heart, lungs, and brain causing a stroke or other complications. I have several arrhythmias and I traveled from the east coast to Australia with no problem. I would find out more from the doctor. This sounds a bit extreme to me but hey, we are all different and you need to follow the doctor's orders. I would get clarification from the doctor. Hugs🤗

I strongly suggest that you get a second opinion from a heart specialist. I have had afib for quite a while and have traveled by air several times with no problem.
