I Have A Fib What Foods Should I Avoid
Trudy, I too have AFIB and I avoid
caffeine ( I do drink decaf coffee but no more than 2 cups and usually only one). If I have chocolate, it is only a small piece and only occasionally.
alcohol (this can trigger AF in some of us)
The AHA (American Heart Association) recommends eating rarely
highly processed foods
fatty, processed meats
refined carbohydrates
sugary foods, and drinks.
That doesn't mean you can't have an occasional piece of birthday cake or have a drink with sugar substitutes if you want it. The rule to follow is occasional. These are just some guidelines.
I hope this helps!
Thank your. It was a tiny adjustment in the pm setting and back in rhythm! I was in complete shock I will not repeat what I said ðŸ¤
"All things in moderation"? ME! "Too much is never enough" & "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"? Young athletes having strokes, heart attacks even dying on football fields in their teens? 😎
Robin, I think you were justified. I am so happy to know you are back in rhythm! I know how good that feels. Hugs🤗
Robin, you are so right it is very annoying and you feel like crap. I can't believe they did not do an EKG when you were feeling so bad. Afib is pretty easy to diagnose. I hope you are being treated for it now. Hugs🤗
