I Have Had Minor Deposits Of Plaque In My Arteries How Do I Determine How Much Additional There Is?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

This was determined by a heart catheterization about 10 years ago. Is there a way to measure how much additional plague has been added since then?

Hi Roger,, I think there is another X-ray to determine Calcium channels and can tell the doctor if you have or have the possibility of developing coronary artery disease. I have not had this test because I have been diagnosed with CAD over 20yrs. I'm not sure if insurance companies cover this test either. Have a good day and God bless.

Thanks. I have no symptoms. Are you saying the only way to determine an increase in plaque is a heart cath?

Have you been having any heart discomfort? You might need another heart cath. or stress exercise test. My stress tests have always been negative, but my heart caths are always positive. But please talk with your doctor about your concerns.
Hope you are having a good weekend. Have a restful night. May God bless.
