Today's medical video talks about TAVR and How To Prevent Stroke In TAVR - Dr. Sharad Jaitly talks about this procedure and fully explains this pretty well. The video was produced in 2018 but I liked the way he explains the procedure. I hope you enjoy the video. If you have a request regarding a particular procedure or condition, let me know and I will do my best to find a video that will help us all learn more.

I never knew this...I was put on blood thinning meds for 3 months and a baby aspirin for rest of my life to keep clots from attaching to the Valve...
The screens are placed in the carotid arteries to prevent particles from reaching the brain but it is not 100% effective but still quite effective. I asked the surgeons.
Screens are placed at the main entrance to your brain to block particles from entering through the blood stream. I hope I’m correct Caryn.
Thanks!
@A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member I don't know what this means but you might get a better response if you ask a question on your own so everyone can see it. Maybe someone else can help. Here is how to do that. You can do that one of two ways. Under the house icon in the left upper corner, you will see under the post window the blue text that says ask a question. Click on that and ask about your procedure. The other way is to click on Q&A and have a look you might find that question has already been answered. If not, in the upper right-hand side of the screen you will see the text Don't see your question? ask question. Click on ask question and ask away!
