I have to deal with my heart disease one day at a time. All this started when I was 30 and I had just had a heart attack I did not know that even though I knew that I was alive but they could not find me blood pressure at that time and so they had to send me upstairs to take a stat echocardigram and they found out why they could not find my blood pressure it was because there was so much fluid around the extremeities that they wind up putting me in the hospital. After that I took one day at a time. And I thank God for every minute every second and every hour and every day that I am alive.

The only way that I can deal with heart disease is to take one day at a time.

Since I was hospitalized a year ago in April I need to check my BP, pulse, oxygen and weight every morning. If there is a significant deviation in any of those I need to call the doctor’s office. For weight if it’s over 2lbs overnight or 5 lbs in a week. So far, fortunately I’m stable. I sure never thought it’d be such hard work.
Caryn, I heard, not sure how true it is but if you feel or know you ate too much salt one day, drink more water?? ??
