Hello heart team, I see where a lot of members have had valve replacements. I had mild mitral valve regurgitation for the last 3 echos after an artery dissection in 2019, my cardiologist said mild doesn't need replacement or repair, because a lot of people without heart disease has a trace or mild regurgitation. Had anyone else been told that and at what point did you require surgery for regurgitation and what symptoms were you having. Thank you.

Mild MV regurgitation you don’t need open heart for repair or replacement. They just watch uou . Some people may never need repair or replacement count your blessing . Follow with your cardio and I d be grateful that’s He’s going his job and not poo pooing you . My first cardio poo pooed me. Kept telling me I looked me so by the time they hit in to repair it was too late . I keep saying trust your gut 💗 we’re here for you 💗

My cardiologist in Florida at the time wanted to do that. I changed cardiologist and he disagreed with the first one. He did not find any evidence that I needed. Then when I moved back to Pennsylvania my cardiologist said it was a good thing I switched doctors in Florida. That doctor as I am concerned was out for the money.
