In What Ways, If Any, Has Your Heart Disease Affected How You Consume Alcohol?
I would like to say congrats to all those that are recovering . My husband Has been sober for 11 years. It almost took his life. He has COPD. Keep up the good work everyone. God Bless. Know you are not alone. Plenty of support in this room.
I was a heavy drinker before my double bypass in 2017.Rode motorcycles and raised hell but all that changed gave up smoking and drinking completely.Im sure none of that behavior helped but had a lot of fun . People can do what works for them.It just doesn't work for me anymore.Still working full time keeps my mind busy.Wish everyone well have a great weekend.
I have a bottle of wine in the fridge. It's been there for 7 months. I can have it if I want to but I'm going to wait for another day. Going out to lunch and having a beer is an occasional treat, but with all the pills I need a nap when I get home. . . .it's not a good feeling. I don't know what the answer is for others but for me it's maybe later.
I drank as much as possible, smoked a couple of hectares of dope. A pack a day of Kools for 40+ years. They tell me it was a great time. Don't remember much. Had the Best Friends money could buy.
Now I have a 6oz. Glass of sweet red wine with a piece of 72% cacao dark chocolate every night. Heart is happier. I no longer have a bondsman on Retainer, and have a lot more disposable income. Who Knew?
My last drink was July 12, 1976
