Members connected deeply over the question of whether they experience constant anxiety, with nearly everyone acknowledging some level of it, particularly those managing heart conditions like A-Fib, breathing difficulties, or upcoming transplants. Several members shared practical strategies including journaling, meditation, Klonopin or other anxiety medications, therapy when affordable, and listening carefully to their cardiologists, while also noting that certain medications like beta blockers or rescue inhalers can sometimes worsen anxiety symptoms. A recurring theme was the isolating nature of anxiety when living alone or facing uncertain health outcomes, balanced by the comfort of shared experiences and the community's interest in creating more structured support or sharing sessions to talk through fears together.

I am pretty sure we all have some anxiety. What do you do to try to relieve it that is the question. I personally journal and meditate but there is no shame in asking for medication or going to therapy if you need to. Anxiety should not control your life and if it does, get some help dealing with it. Hugs🤗

If you have my heart condition, A-Fib, it is to be expected. Years after getting this, I think I have finally learned how NOT to be anxious. Wait a second, I am probably due for an anxiety attack. I read that if you don’t have anxiety when you first develop A-Fib, you will become anxious. The racing of the heart beat will make you anxious. I have had A-Fib 5, maybe 10 years. It hasn’t really bothered me accept for the breathlessness which is coming from my Heart Failure. I do what my cardiologist tells me to do. I let him rule my behavior. Some heart patients are pretty stubborn. They insist on behaving the same way they have always behaved. Listen to your cardiologist. He knows much more than you.
