Does Anyone Have A Similar Diagnosis To Mine Of Severe Calcification Of Arteries?
A MyHeartDiseaseTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am 78 years old with the above diagnosis due to familial hypercholesteremia. I get plasmapheresis biweekly to keep my cholesterol under control as I am unable to tolerate any of the meds - pills OR injectible.

I have mild atherosclerotic (plaque) in my Aorta. I had an artery dissection in 2019 resulting in a bypass. I have not heard of plasmapheresis but have to take a statin every other night. I hope you continue to be ok.
