I am just curious if anyone has had any issues after having a coronary stent placed, If you did what were the issues and how long after?

I had my 9th Stent put in last month. It was my 16th angioplasty. A few days later I passed out split open my eye and got a brain bleed. I was in ICU for two weeks!! That's my first time I've had this issue. This is also the first time my insurance made me wait two weeks for authorization for the angio!!!??

I have 7 stents, placed in two different occasions. I have never had any issues in recovery or thereafter. I usually went to the hospital in the morning, had the stents placed and stayed overnight, for observation. In the morning a got dressed and rested at home for about a week, as directed. After that, I was good to go. Of course, I see my Cardiologist, regularly, and report any sudden changes, immediately.

Hey , I had 6 stents placed in one procedure back in September 2020 after having heart failure and an ejection fraction of less than 10%. So far the stents are holding and at my last check up my ef was at 47%. I take my blood thinners as prescribed and hope to never have any issues. Just listen to the Cardiologists and take your meds. Don't stress to much and take care of yourself.
