Last night I walked to the beach, about 15 minutes. I did not have to stop for breathing, and I did not get short of breath. The walk back is slightly uphill the entire walk. Then a flight of stairs into my condo. I was NOT short of breath! WOW! This is a big deal for me. I did not have heart pain and no panting to try to breathe.
I have only been taking the meds for 5 days. Entresto and carvedilol.
WOW! I am so happy!

Strength training 2-3 times a week, depends on muscle soreness. . 30 Military pushups 6days a wk. kettle bells or walking on days not strength training. Inverted sit-ups on inversion table 2-3 x a wk. . EF is 15%. External Counterpulsation therapy helped immensely.

My understanding about the EF is it depends on what caused the HF. While I was in the hospital and still being worked up for the cause of my "event" my EF was 30 about 3 months later repeat echo showes 65%. Age has some affect. Exercise is very important as well as low sodium.

Welcome, to the site, I had an ejection fraction of just 15 percent after an artery dissection in 2019, that happened out of the blue from stress (per cardiologist) I had surgery for the dissection and was told because of the low EF I had heart failure, I was so sad after that was told to me, I later had cardiac rehab and was placed with an ICD for protection, and put on Entresto (low dose) I could not tolerate a high dose. My EF went to 20 to 25, then 30 to 35 percent, at last echo it was 40 percent, I was told it can go up and down, I think around 50 to 60 is about normal, I continue to Pray for more increase 🙏. It has been a sometimes difficult journey, but God is good. I hope you get good results in your journey.

That IS awesome. Good for you overcoming your fear. Exercise doesnt have to be weight training at a gym unless thats what you like. 20 minutes of cardio is all it takes. So happy and proud of you
