I too have low sodium levels what I can tell you is that it causes confusion, anxiety, nausea & vomiting, headaches, loss of energy, drowsiness and fatigue, restlessness and irritability, muscle weakness cramps & spasms, seizures & comas. You can find this information at Mayo Clinic under Hyponatremia-Symptoms and causes. Also mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hyponatremia/symptoms-causes/syc-20373711.

Before my son died he had very low Sodium levels plus other ones of the electrolyte family. He would be admitted to the hospital and have to have all of them by IV he could have died if he had waited too much longer. He was living with us at the time and I am so glad he was because he was very sick. It also can be caused by drinking to much water it will explain that also. When I worked in the hospital Mayo Clinic was the one we used for all of our mail outs except for a few. I trust them with my questions when I need to know something. Just remember to always consult with your doctor also. I hope this helps.

Wow I just learned something new. Maybe that is why my husband is so fatigued and wants to sleep. I watch his sodium to keep his BP low but . . . hmmm . . . I will ask the doctor about that one.

That’s a good question for your cardiologist I don’t know if fatigue has something to do with the low sodium levels or not
